I don't have the number handy, but in the past if you call they tell you, almost, exactly when it will be restored. This is the first time I've been spared the outage. Lost it for 7 days for the hurricane, 3 days for the blizzard, and about 5 years ago lost it for 4 days for a thunderstorm. Not all luck though as I lost my AC last week. To be fixed next week. Call Pepco. I don’t have the number handy, but in the past if you call they tell you, almost, exactly when it will be restored.

This is the first time I’ve been spared the outage. Lost it for 7 days for the hurricane, 3 days for the blizzard, and about 5 years ago lost it for 4 days for a thunderstorm. Not all luck though as I lost my AC last week. To be fixed next week.

Yes, I KNOW my power's off, and so is my neighbor's. Duh. What I need to know is when it will be back on--or at least whether anyone's working on the problem yet. I get that it will take a while, but it would at least be useful to know when they've assessed the problem, and then again when they have a crew working on it. Just issuing blanket "most back on by Thursday, others by Friday, some a few days longer" statements to the media doesn't tell me much of anything at all. I'm not asking for a commitment to a specific date, but just knowing whether they're working on things in my area would make me much less cranky.
