Much Better Than You Think
That’s how Silver Spring, Singular’s “Karl” describes Silver Spring in today’s Washingtonian Blogger Beat. Good interview with the mysterious man who helped coin and/or popularize terms like “The Promenade” and “SSINO” (Silver Spring in Name Only). Not only a great article on the blog and its writer but great press for Silver Spring as well.
I can’t agree enough with the statement about the need for an Apple Store. And under the “Local Leaders You Would Want to Fire” section, he was very kind for not calling out a name, but I’ll do it here: Marc Elrich.

wow, this “karl” person used the word “scrum” which totally sounds like a fake word but, as i just learned, is not. you silver springers shore are smart!
That guy is a douche bag.
If you look closely, you can see the word “CRACKA” scrawled behind him and to the right. That about sums it up.

Not that I’m that thick with the council, but right now, the hold-up with The Fillmore appears to be the negotiators for the county on the conveyance agreement. Diane Schwartz-Jones is supposed to be large and in charge, but might just be in the way, depending on who’s talking.
