I had heard that there was a new neighborhood-type restaurant going into the old Forest Glen train station (or was it a hotel near the train station? I can't remember right now), so this could certainly be it. They've been trying to get that place fixed up and consistently occupied for years. It's a pretty cool building with a fascinating history. I'll bet Jerry McCoy could dredge up some old photos if we asked him nicely.

We used to live near there, in the Carroll Knolls neighborhood, and I can tell you that we'd have given our right arms to have a decent restaurant within walking distance. (OK, maybe the left one-- I'd need the right one to eat waffles with.) With the new residential development going on at the old Seminary, it should do well.

The 'two concept' concept at first red sounded for all the world like Franklin's in Hyattsville. That's a great model to emulate.

That wooden frame house is the old general store. I forgot how great that place used to be.

I think Batman is right. There's a wooden frame house right next to the "castle" that's been under renovation for a while now.

As a North Woodside resident, I couldn't be happier about this.

I'm bummed about Colorado Kitchen. My impression was that it was a gem in a Brightwood neighborhood that otherwise had few other good dining options (I don't go to Brightwood much, so maybe I'm wrong on this account). And the new location is outside of my "restaurant-shed" (i.e., it's not within walking distance of my home). Maybe if the new place gets good reviews we'll make a special car trip. Then again, maybe not. Colorado Kitchen was fun without the kids but is not very kid friendly.

Yeah, but what I thought was Woodside appears to be Montgomery Hills.

And I would also expect that "Fall" really means "early Spring" in restaurant opening terms.

According to <a href="http://www.washingtonian.com/blogarticles/restaurants/bestbites/8431.html" rel="nofollow">Washingtonian.com</a>, the new restaurant will be in Woodside and will open in October.

However, Easley Does It may be on the mark with the old castle on Forest Glen Rd. Not exactly Woodside, if you ask me.
