Creepy Clown at the DTSS Fountain

Luckily, Bonifant More Sinister Than Thayer was on-hand to capture this bizarre happening at the Fountain on Monday:

It appears as if the clown cut a swath through the kids at the fountain, as none of them wanted to flock around the horror-movie figurine. But he’s also carrying a Smithsonian umbrella. What’s up with that?

Oh, and there was someone with an expensive looking video camera taping this guy. This was one of several similar takes, and it really freaked the kids out. (and put all the adults on creepy mime dude alert)

This is why we need to release mimes in all public places. They are the clowns’ mortal enemies.

Maybe it was a Peterson Co. plot to clear the kids out of the fountain without the bad PR. I know if I were 5 years old and this happened to me, I’d never go near that fountain again!

(And you won’t catch me anywhere NEAR Springvale Roader’s upcoming Mime-Clown Smackdown . . .)

Mimes v. Clowns is the new Ninjas v. Pirates.

If the ice cream man were smart, he’d drive his truck right up to the edge of the closed off portion of Ellsworth. Of course, Peterson would probably have his truck bombed.

Clearly, this is a person who does not, nor ever has had young children. Dude! It is nearly proven, scientific fact that clowns scare the bejesus out of toddlers.

I hope some smart granny beaned him with her umbrella.

That was the funniest freakin thing I have seen in a while. I wish I were there. I would really like to know who this guy is and whose he is employed by! I hope he appears again. He can get famous! He could be the mascot of downtown silver spring!
I wonder if security stopped him
